Friday Cat Blogging No. 45: CSI – Murder on Christmas Day

Friday, January 5th, 2007

For the very first time, the latest episode of CSI – Cat Scene Investigation involves murder. I woke up Christmas morning and was about to use the bathroom when I saw Hee Seop playing with what I thought was one of their mouse toys. Because I didn’t want to disturb him, I didn’t enter the bathroom, found Brian in the kitchen and excitedly whispered, “Go look–Hee Seop’s playing with one of the old mouse toys we got for Hopper and Basil. He’s played with it so much that I think it’s actually changed shape.” Brian peeked into the room, came out shaking his head, and remarked, “Uh, Barb, I don’t think that’s a toy.”

See crime scene photos below:

*sigh* Hee Seop looks so innocent, but he’s not. Our youngest is a murderer.

Friday Cat Blogging No. 40: CSI – Domestic Violence

Friday, November 24th, 2006

The latest episode of CSI – Cat Scene Investigation is the result of having two alpha cats in the household. I know the picture is blurry because it was taken with a camera phone, but you can see the injury to Hopper’s mouth pretty clearly. It looks even worse in person. Or, in uh, cat (?):

Domestic Violence

Though the evidence is circumstantial, the perpetrator isn’t meek, little Hee Seop this time. It’s our alpha male, Angelo. Sorry, jane, I know how much you love him, but this is exactly the type of shit he pulls and Hopper, unfortunately, gets the worst of it. Face it — you love a thug!

Friday Cat Blogging No. 38: CSI – Repeat Offender

Friday, November 10th, 2006

This week’s episode (and I can’t believe this has become a weekly thing) of CSI – Cat Scene Investigation is reminiscent of the one that occurred a mere two weeks ago:

Repeat Offender 2

The cats pictured in the crime scene photo are Basil (top) and Hopper (lower right), though they are innocent. Well, except maybe for looting. Yet again, the culprit is Hee Seop:

I just got home from the gym, and he has yet to make an appearance. When he does, though, he will be sentenced to lots of cuddling, which he only likes when he seeks us out for affection! ;) Case closed.

Friday Cat Blogging No. 37: CSI – Destruction of Property

These episodes of CSI: Cat Scene Investigation in our apartment are becoming more and more freqeuent. It seems that cat crime has increased. Could it be the change in weather?

We know very well who the culprit is. Once again, it’s Hee Seop:

I don’t know how he manages to do this since he had to have 7 (almost 13) teeth pulled when he first came to live with us. I can hear him tearing these things apart — like I can hear the cloth snagging, and it happens in a matter of minutes! Besides, I’ve witnessed this! Case closed.

Friday Cat Blogging No. 36: CSI – What’s That Smell?

Friday, October 27th, 2006

The most recent episode of CSI: Cat Scene Investigation is called “What’s That Smell?” Recently, Brian and I came home one night to an extremely repugnant smell, but one that was not related to any unburied evidence in the litterbox.

Upon entering the kitchen, this is what we witnessed (the cat in the picture is Hopper, taking advantage of the spoils):

Guilty 1

We believe the real culprit is the cat pictured below:

Hee Seop has had priors. In fact, that’s how we met. Brian made some really bad shepherd’s pie one night from a recipe that I found in Real Simple (something I don’t recommend). It turned out completely unedible (not Brian’s fault), so we tossed it. Brian set the trash bag on the back porch, but when he went to take it down to the dumpster, a possum had torn into the bag and was eating from it! Several minutes later, the possum disappeared, only to be replaced by Hee Seop.

Yes, the evidence in this case is circumstantial, but none of the other cats have ever knocked the trash can over before. Case closed.
