what’s up with BlogExplosion? as of today, they’re down to 20 banner impressions per credit. just a few weeks ago it was 50/credit. what’s up with that?

well, here’s one guy’s opinion: BlogExplosion is a Fraud

TEMPORARY HIATUS

I apologize for any inconvenience this may cause anyone, but due to increased responsibilites, Cell 2187 will be on temporary hiatus.  However, I will attempt to update the media list as often as possible.

Over the next few weeks I will be in the process of moving Cell 2187 to another site.  Once this happens, I will post an entry with the new URL.

A Few Notes

first of all, Basil would like you to know that he thanks everyone for their concern.  we’re still waiting to hear for the results on his blood test, but so far, he’s just fine!

i’m currently making some changes to the template, though they aren’t super noticeable.  however, i think it’s an improvement–i created a separate page for the Web rings, etc., now that i know how to do that! 

i may also add a tagboard in the sidebar so we can leave messages for each other.

finally, i’ve added more pictures to the recent photo album, and don’t forget to visit photobloggo where you’ll find pics of the kitties and their humans.

i am absolutely tickled. the other day i created a mood and in the section where you can elaborate, i wrote about how worried i was because one of my cats had been throwing up on a somewhat regular basis, etc., etc. click on cat-o-bloggo if you really care. (and see a different side of me!)

i mentioned that the last time this happened he was brought to the emergency vet and it turned out he was constipated. except i used a more graphic word: poop. ok? poop.

so someone left me a comment saying, "none of us want to know that." i wrote them back and said, "then don’t fucking read it," which, of course, spelling-challenged people could throw back at me–and that’s their right.

what kills me is how this person, who goes by the user name, "friedchickenisgood," believes that s/he is the voice of the blogosphere. in this case, i have no qualms about mentioning this person’s "identity" because they left a comment, which means they’re fair game.

so if you would like to see what your speaker is saying on your behalf, click on the "past" link in the moodbox. it’ll display my last 10 moods. look for the word POOP, then read YOUR comment.

none of you want to know that he strained to poop!

bloggo chicago Site Update

thanks, everyone, for bearing with me as i tinker around with this site. then again, blogs are organic in nature, so it’s to be expected that they continue to evolve. besides, it’s fun to discover new tools and stuff, and it looks like i’m actually learning some HTML!

i recently upgraded my TypePad account so i can create more blogs. (great, right?) i’m shutting down slacktivities and breaking it up into 2 separate blogs:

Please bear with me while I still experiment with the content of this blog. Anyway, I’ve decided to replace Tag-board with Chatterbox. As you can see, I was able to customize its look so that it matches the sidebar. It also has a feature where I can place a link to it in the sidebar for a pop-up window that shows the Chatterbox, in order to save room in the sidebar.
