1. As much as I’ve wanted to keep this blog as open as possible, there are some topics I’ve been wanting to write about that I don’t believe I can share with just anybody. Therefore, some private posts may be coming soon. You’ll have to register in order to read them, but registering does not automatically mean that you’ll have that privilege for all private posts. I have to know you somehow, whether it’s from the blogosphere or real life, and obviously, who gets to read what will be at my discretion. The downside to this is that I have to make a post to say there is a private post, because you’d only be able to see it if you’re logged in. Make sense?
2. edit, 11/7/06 – 5:03pm: Thanks to Katie and Joefish, I’ve got this all taken care of! (b) Cheers! question: I have all of four posts that use Audioblogger, which has been discontinued. Does anyone know if this means my posts will be deleted? If so, can anyone tell me how to save the posts so that I can re-upload them somehow on something else? They’re mp3 files, but I know nothing about that sort of thing. Please help!
3. When I first started blogging I did all sorts of memes and quizzes (check the category list, and you’ll see). Since my blogging hiatus, I’ve noticed that there are new meme-type things out there, or theme days, or whatever you want to call them. I’ve been trying to avoid this (except for Friday Cat Blogging, of course), but I don’t think I can avoid FOAD Thursdays any longer. there’ve been too many idiots pissing me off lately, and I need to vent. Can’t guarantee that I’ll do one every Thursday, but expect one tomorrow! :[ Well, if I can figure out how to use that Mister Linky Widget thing to get it to say “FOAD Thursdays Participants.” If not, i’ll write one next Thursday.

a few weeks ago TypePad users received an e-mail from one of the higher-ups offering users their choice of a 15-, 30-, or 45-day credit because of “the problems that some of our users experienced last month”. everyone automatically got a 15-day credit if they didn’t choose the other 2 options, and i figured fine, that’s what i’ll go with.

but after the shitty support service i got recently when i tried to get their domain mapping thing to work, i just had it and came over here.

then the other day, some other disaster happens. so today i put in a script to redirect my TypePad blog to this one until i’m done canceling the account. i haven’t received the credit yet, so i don’t know how they’re going to handle it.

slowly but surely i’m learning WordPress thanks to Justin at WebbleYou. the links in the header (about, archives, contact) finally work. they don’t look exactly the way i want them to, but that’s fine for now. i need to rewrite the about page anyway.

also took the monthly archives out of the sidebar and placed them on their own page. in its place is a mini-archive with links to last year’s posts, if there were any on the current date. seemed like a fun thing to do.

finally, if you’re looking for the link to Daily Star Wars Trivia, that’s in the sidebar under My Links it’s at the top of the sidebar. so go join the tournament!
