It's funny because I wasn't much of a fan until I married Brian, who played basketball in high school and still plays pick-up games regularly. He even got me watching college basketball with him this year! I have to admit, however, that I like NFL football better than pro basketball.

We don't have cable, so I don't get to watch many hockey games and anyway, this past season hockey was a sore spot for me because I was unable to play. I don't even know who creamed the Avalanche! For them, though, 8-1 is pretty bad. Too bad Detroit didn't lose that badly. Then again, they have the best goalie in the NHL and I do admire Chris Osgood. And of course Hasek is one of my favorites.

I'm really not a basketball fan at all, but actually I like the Bulls better than the Nuggets. And I like basketball better than NFL football. So shoot me.
I love hockey, though, but I swear, I almost changed favorite teams after that slaughter bestowed on the Avalanche during the playoffs. 8-1?? I couldn't even believe that massacre! A loss is one thing but that's an embarrassment!

That's OK. I still love you. But it's a little harder during football season.

Barb, I couldn't tell you 1 Chili Peppers song. Really. Of course I've heard of them, but I've never "listened" to their music.

We'll see how they do next season with their new head coach. Better, hopefully!

Actually, that Chili Peppers song is called "Magic Johnson." You do know who the Chili Peppers are, though, don't you? Flea was at one of the games in L.A. and so was Anthony Kiedis. Too bad the band sucks now. Well, they have since Blood Sugar Sex Magik.

Anyways, college football season can't come soon enough for me!

I think the Bulls were better this year than in the past few years.
I don't even know the Chili Peppers song about the Lakers, lol. During the games they usually play Randy Newman's "I love L.A."
I could go on & on about basketball, but now we gotta wait til college football time!! Fun then, right, Barb!

OK, my bad. Boston wasn't the underdog, but in my eyes they were because they hadn't won a championship in 22 years! And the Lakers are quite often in the finals.

Speaking of Ray Allen, I thought it was funny that Denzel was at a couple of the games in L.A. because in the movie Mo' Better Blues Denzel plays Ray Allen's dad!

I didn't realize that you're a Lakers fan. That's cool. I love that Chili Peppers song about the Lakers. When I was a kid I was a big fan of Magic and Kareem.

Now I'm rambling. I still love the Bulls, even though they're in the toilet.

Well you probably know we're HUGE Laker fans. But how can someone not be happy for Kevin Garnett? I like Doc Rivers too. The Celtics were most definitely the better team & deserved the championship.
We were hoping Detroit would've come out of the East because the Celtics are such a damn good team! (I don't like Ray Allen though)
1 correction: The Celtics weren't the underdogs. They had more wins than any other team in the NBA & had home court advantage. They were expected to win.

You're right, it's good to see guys that play for so long finally win. I didn't even know who Paul Pierce was before the playoffs & I was hugely happy for him, too.

Still <3 my Lakers though.
