Had a pelvic ultrasound this morning to check for fibroids due to heavy bleeding that occurred during the first two weeks of my pill pack. My mom has had fibroids for years, so genetically, this doesn’t bode well. Thought I’d have the results today, but nope — Wednesday. Butt test yet to be scheduled. No more accidents, at least; knock on wood.
Worried. Immobilized.
OK, I know it’s serious, but I just had to snicker at the term “Butt test”.
Hope all test come back clear though!

At least the version of the Pill they gave me caused me to have a “normal” period for the first time in decades! No pain or nothing!
Now I’m pissed at the 3 doctors who never did anything about it all these years when I made it clear it was AWFUL and I was in PAIN.

Ananke, as you’ll see in my next post, the ultrasound turned out OK! Just a really small fibroid. BTW, it isn’t you — there’s something wrong with the regular smiley (as I’ve noted below), and I don’t think the developer is working with it anymore. So for now, you’ll just have to type it in the old-fashioned way. Pain, ain’t it?
annie, I remember you going through something like this, but I didn’t fully understand what it was or what was happening. Thank you for sharing. I’ll have to ask my PCP about that Pill. I’ve been taking Ortho-Tri-Cyclen Lo, and that heavy bleeding I experienced was just heavy. I’m sure I’d remember if it was painful. Certainly Brian would!
