Why It’s Taking Me Forever to Finish Consuming “Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic”

KotOR

Well, uh, I started playing, or rather, replaying Morrowind, but obviously didn’t put it on my All Consuming. I got a lot farther this time, but then I had to have ECT again, so that was that. I don’t think I’ve completely forgotten where I am or what I’m doing, but lately I’ve been itching to play KotOR.

Since all the previous times I’ve played I was always the same class character, and since I wasn’t very far into the game yet anyway, I decided to start over again as a Scout instead of a Scoundrel. Not too charming, but way better in a fight. (y)

  1. Oooh I LOOOVE KOTOR! It was the the game that made me go out and buy an Xbox. Scoundrels can’t exactly charm their way out of fights. Scouts (and later Jedi Sentinels) are nicely well rounded characters that are decent fighters and force users. I played to the end, then started over as an evil guy. I didn’t get far because I lost interest, plus I just didn’t feel right making all those evil decisions. Even though it’s just a game, I’m still just a goody two shoes I guess.

I did the dark side p”All tath, too — once. I didn’t think it was that great, plus I’m in love with Carth. I have yet to play the soldier class or as a guy because I cannot stand Bastila, that uppity bitch. :d

Now I’m itching to play KotOR II again, which isn’t nearly as good, but at least they finished it in time (I think), unlike the first one. I’ve only played once or twice, and I’m going to play DS next time. Plus, my Darth Goalie sensitivies are coming to the fore! Bad choices are easier to make in that version, I think. “All too easy.”

  3. Heh, a lot of people hated Bastila, but I don’t know… I thought she was kinda hot. The only plus to playing as a male instead of a female was you got to kiss her in one of the storylines (but not if you’re a goody two shoes). I found that much more desireable than the romance with Carth. Go figure. ;)

That is so unfair! Actually, there exist a beach scene and a “Stay with me here — on the Star Forge” as it’s about to blow up scene if you’re an LS female and do the romance with Carth. Too bad they only exist on the cutting-room floor. Supposedly this was in order to release the game on time.

However, a few summers ago, I found the videos on the Web and DL’d them, but now they’re no long on my computer and I’m having a tough time with my search. But oh…the sound of Carth telling you he loves you…. (l) (l) (l)
