Friday Cat Blogging No. 41: Get Down, Boogie Oogie Oogie

Boogie Mat

NOTE: This post has not been paid for by anyone. Fat Cat, Inc. products are completely endorsed by the cats-o-bloggo. It’s a shame that I even have to add this note, but it’s true.

We finally got one of those Kitty Hoots Boogie Mats from Fat Cat, Inc. It comes with their patented Zoom Around the Room® High-Test Organic Catnip. I’ve been searching for just a tub of this stuff, but I don’t think they sell them that way. It’s the “good stuff” as far as kitty dope goes, and is also the same catnip that was inside the Okey Dokey Pokey Ball Hee Seop destroyed recently.

Anyway, these Boogie Mats come with a small, IMO, little baggie of the stuff, which you place inside the mat–one end has a zipper. They suggest trying two tablespoons at first, which had the kitties vying to “get down, [and] boogie oogie oogie” on the Boogie Mat. That was a couple of days ago, and even though I’ve seen each of the them taking turns sleeping on it since, it may be time for a refill. There are a few tablespoons left in that teeny, tiny baggie.

There’s a two-pack holiday version of the Boogie Mats that you can order directly from the site, unless you’re lucky enough to find them at PETCO, which is where I got ours. Fat Cat, Inc. also sells doggy toys, so don’t let the name fool you.

Angelo says: More pet pics are available for your viewing pleasure at this week’s Friday Ark. If you post your own pets’ photos, leave them a trackback or comment and you’ll be listed there, too. And remember — they don’t limit pictures just to cats!

heh. Awesome. Next week you should get them to play Twister.

  2. Barb says:

If I could find more than just a dime bag of this Zoom Around the Room stuff and sprinkle it on a Twister mat, they probably would! (@)

I never notice your posts until the feed shows up, which it hasn’t yet, but I stopped by anyway because I’m nice like that :D

I love toys for my furkids, I’m so checking it out tonight.

  4. Gladys says:

I should check it out too. However, I’m sure that our new furry kid, maggie that is, will try to steal it from the cats.I should really make a point of taking more cat pictures… :s

  5. Barb says:

Thanks, Robin. I use Bloglines, so I only see my feeds when I log in, and I’m totally behind on my reading.

Gladys, I forgot that you have cats! :d

That is the coolest thing. I wonder if it makes them feel like pot makes humans feel. 1 of your cats is missing though. Is it HeeSop? That’s expensive! You cant just buy baggies of it w/o a new mat?

  7. Barb says:

Actually, it’s your baby Angelo that’s missing. He was asleep on the bed while the boogieing was going on. Hee Seop’s the one on the right–you can identify him by the white “petting spot” on his lower back. :)
