Mood’s Swinging Back Up, I Think & The Accidental Poopist

Maybe it’s because I saw my therapist today for the first time in a month? This is because, even though she’s given us a discount on the office fee, it’s still more than twice the $20 co-pay I had before the stupid Program Coordinator at IOP fucked up and maxed out my outpatient mental health benefits for the rest of the year.

Could also be because I’m on the third week of my Pill pack now, and I usually PMS two weeks before my period. Even though I’ve only been back on the Pill for two months, I’ve always PMS’d two weeks before, and sometimes it lasts for that entire time. I’m so blessed.

I do have a pdoc appointment tomorrow (at full price), so I can talk to him about it then. Hopefully the ups and downs between “baseline” and depression were only because of PMS. Although it could also be my concerns about the second topic of this post.

I never saw the movie The Accidental Tourist, but for those of you who know I’ve had a colonoscopy recently, I thought you’d appreciate the title.

All I’ll say is that I haven’t had to depend on Depends. A couple of days last week, though, I had a few leaks, usually while working out, that a sanitary napkin could manage. Just leaks and not enough to be annoying or even embarrassing, but I still see blood sometimes. Today I actually thought I got my period early, but it wasn’t from that. I’ve been avoiding the foods the gastroenterologist told me to (except for another trip through the BK drive-thru late Saturday night; and OK, nachos and two beers at the Hawks game on Sunday), and I admit that I forget to do those pelvic exercises.

*sigh* I guess I better call his office. As I was being discharged after the colonoscopy, I was given a sheet of paper with his phone number on it to call in case I need a follow-up appointment. Looks like I might need it, after all.

  2. I heard about your colonoscopy before. I never thought that one must go to some sort of ordeal before undergoing the actual process.

Btw, regarding to your comment on my blog. I also feel the same thing.

  3. Accidental Poopist, LOL! I don’t think I saw that movie either, (the tourist one, not the poopist) but I like your title much better.

“Accidental Poopist” *giggles* As you know I was diagnosed Bipolar over 10 years ago, and it took forever to learn the proper adjustments on my meds. for PMS and for the time changes (i.e fall back, spring forward)! Hang in there, it just takes time. 8)

Glad to hear you’re feeling better. I agree with the others, “Accidental Poopist” is a much better title! :d

Oh boy…I never knew much about colonoscopies but I’ll ask you about them if I ever have to have one.

Angel, cool! Thanks for stopping by!

charles, I didn’t realize it’d be such a pain in the ass, either. Oops. There I go again with the bad puns.

As for your post, yeah, it sucks but at least I know I’m not the only one who feels that way.

GDG, Rain, and Ananke, I didn’t necessarily want to post about the poop situation, but I just had to use that title! It was too good to pass up. :d

Rain, that’s exactly what it boils down to–it’s almost like being in Professor Snape’s potions class or something. :[

Robin, if you’re really curious, I posted all about it here. Hopefully, you’ll never need one. :)
