Well, working out/exercise does give you more energy. (*)

I leave at 6am and get home at 5pm. I could go to the gym at work BUT I have to change and then shower afterwards which leaves only a 1/2 hour and I can't have a relaxing lunch. I should just do it, you know? Work is just so stressful and hard lately I have no energy for anything else.

Ack! you leave at 6:00 a.m.? We're trying to adjust to waking up at that time. Maybe there's a gym near work that you can go to during your lunch hour?

Have you ever tried mat pilates? You can get some really good DVDs for cheap at any sporting goods store. The ones by Gaiam are really good.

Me, I'd be hesitant about buying an exercise machine. If you do manage to find one that's reasonably priced, make sure it has a really good warranty! :)

I can't do the gym early since I leave at 6am already and when I get home it's already too dark to go for a walk. I'm thinking of getting a really inexpensive eliptical machine...I hope I can convince Erik.

Denise, it was all medication weight from when I was on Lamictal. I'm only 5'1" and I went from a size 6 to a 12 and sometimes 15 in less than a year. That was a few years ago, and it's only now that I'm finally doing something about it. Well, I was depressed during that time, too, though. :)

Robin, I'm not dieting at all. Granted, I'm not supposed to eat certain foods like dairy products, because of my whole GI thing, but I pretty much still eat the same stuff I used to. I believe the weight loss has been because of the cardio work-outs.

I have a hard time sticking with things, too, especially if it's something I don't like. I hate working out! However, it's something that I've grown to look forward to, because, though I hate to admit it, it's really helped my depression. I go to the gym first thing in the morning and try really hard to just get out the door and not putz around. If I end up doing nothing else the rest of the day, at least I know that I've already done something good for myself. I think it's as much mental as it is physical. Does that make sense? Also, exercise doesn't necessarily mean going to the gym--it could be just going for a nice walk. :)

pantheranon, you should've seen me today! I did my three sets of ten at 20 lbs. on the Medieval Torture Device like it was nothing! Remember when I could barely do one? Haha! No ball diet for me! I ought to use that for a Friday Cat Blogging some time. (@)

Thanks, Ratty! Um, so what kind of beer do you have there? ;) (b)

Great job! I can't seem to stick to anything and I won't diet. We had a treadmill but during the move it broke :( I have exercise tapes but am so tired all the time. I want another machine but I doubt my bf will have faith I'll use it at this point. I can't do the gym, the commute is just too much for me right now.

*sigh*

You are an inspiration though...I've been thinking of using fitday again but I don't know...
