Then I heard the lock opening. It was the maintenance man, coming to treat our place for roaches--yes, roaches. But that's another story. I'll just quickly say that I've only seen one and that's because all four of the cats were staring at it. I thought they had already killed it and were trying to decide who'd get to eat it, but the thing was just on its back.
