even though we got home really late from practice last night (Brian always comes to cheer me on), we managed to get up this morning to do just a cardio workout. i wasn’t sure i’d make it the entire 30 minutes, but i did.
had a great practice last night. the coach complimented me on how well i did stopping the puck during the end-of-the night scrimmage, which ended up in 0 – 0! i hope our game tomorrow night goes a lot better than the one last Sunday!

KS, i’m really not a tough girl, which is part of why i started playing! i’ve played on two teams and most of the women are really great–very supportive. plus it’s a lot of fun!

I wish ice hockey was more of a thing over here – it doesn’t really ‘exist’, as such, at least not in this area. I play it loads on PS2 though, does that count?

well, i’m impressed! you’ve really gotten yourself together from not wanting to do anything, even tend your neopets, to going out there on the ice and protecting your turf?! You go!!! i’m also very impressed by your hubby brian who not only has very insightful and awesome comments to make but also supports you by coming to watch you play on the ice? you must be one awesome babe to have snatched a once-in-a lifetime guy like that. i’m both envious and happy for you. keep up the great progress, barb. i’m rooting for you!!!! you are so brave to be so honest online. : )
