Friday Cat Blogging No. 29: Not-So-Tough Guy

It’s the return of Friday Cat Blogging!!! I’m positive that Mark will be absolutely thrilled!!! FCB is here today, but no guarantees for next week, OK?
And I know, I know. It isn’t a solo photo of one of the cats, so just think of me as a prop. 
This was taken early in July when Angelo, our resident tough guy/rock star as most of you know, had to pay a visit to the scary bad lady vet. There’s more to the story, but I couldn’t remember it (ECT, you know) so Brian sent me an e-mail. I doubt that I could retell it any better, so here’s what he said. Once upon a time…

The carrier was dirty — someone (Hopper, I think) had pooped in it the last vet visit, I think, and we didn’t clean it right away, and then it had sat outside on the back porch for months.
Rather than clean it (we were thinking we’d throw it away (editor’s note: it was really old and cracked)), we decided we’d take Angelo using his harness. We had found it, a few weeks before. However, the morning of his vet visit, we couldn’t find the harness, so we had to use a leash, which was basically just made of thick string.
We thought we’d be OK with this, as we did it once before to their previous vet, and he seemed to enjoy riding in the car (editor’s note: he was looking out the window!) and being out at the vet’s, but this time he was scared — shaking in the car by your feet, hiding under our chairs in the waiting room — even trying to run out the door when someone came in.
You were really mad at me in the waiting room and the exam room, before the doc came — blaming me for not cleaning the carrier. But then you calmed down and we apologized to each other and made up, and then took pictures of Angelo hiding behind you on the bench in the exam room.
That’s the story.
Well, folks. As Brian concluded, that’s the story. And now we’re living happily ever after!
