the down side about ECT is how it messes with your memory.? if i can’t remember all of you wonderful bloggers off the top of my head at first, please forgive me–i’m having trouble remembering the TV shows that i like, passwords to various accounts, and God only knows what else.? the good news is that this memory loss is temporary, and as long as someone helps jog my memory, i remember things almost immediately.? i would really, really, really appreciate everyone’s patience!? thanks.?
Memories…
April 25th, 2006 | Bipolar/Anxiety/BPD

Hi, I’m Rik. I hate everybody. Well, almost everybody. = P
Remember now?
We understand Barb….I hope this all helps you in the long run:)
I hope the mild memory loss is the only downside. How are you doing?
I thought about you the other day, and about the electroshock therapy… and I was thinking “did they ruin her synapses?” … apparently so.
I wish I would lose my memory right about now (guy problems).
I am glad you are back and safe. I didn’t know what to expect when you got back.
At least it will be temporary. Hang in there!
Short-term memory loss is something I’ve come to live with, New York and after awhile, you don’t even worry about remembering…. what was I saying Detroit. Oh never mind, it probably wasn’t important anway. Glad you’re home, and I hope it has worked for you/
Hi!I hope the ECT works for you .It did not for me.I like your blog
God bless you
So glad you are home and able to enjoy sunny days in your own place! I’m sure the cats missed you terribly. Charlie and I are soaking up the rays on the deck right now. Hope it helps and you feel better. Your Mpls family… Diane & Fed
Ok. The guy in your house is Brian. He’s not so bad, but could be better.
Glad to have you home.
thanks, everyone! they didn’t ruin my synapses permanently, but it sure feels like it. well, tomorrow’s the last treatment, so ask me again in a few weeks. maybe i’ll have changed my mind by then and think, “why, yes! they did ruin my synapses!”
Glad you’re back and it sounded like from your message on your blog that you were okay. Actually, you sounded damned good (even though I didn’t know what you sounded like before). BUt you sounded like someone happy.
Irene, I’m sorry I hadn’t yet replied to you, but if you’re still interested in working out together, I’m game.
No worries Barb. You just take care of you & all will be just fine.
I am glad you are doing fine. I was concerned with the ECT, just don’t know a lot about it. Just sounds scarey when they go putting electricity with the brain. I hope it worked. I listened to the audio and you sound like such a sweet person. Well I already knew you were a sweet person but now I have the voice with it. You take care of you and God bless.
You have been tagged by the 6 weird things tag, see my blog. I am sorry if you don’t like these but this one is kinda fun. All you have to do is list 6 things that are weird about you. I have quite a few weird things but I think I narrowed it to the strangest, lol. You take care and God bless.
Glad to hear you’re doing better
The memory loss will most probably be temporary, I have yet to see a patient that has serious memory impairment in the long run. *hugs*
Awww. Barb, I am sooo glad you are doing better! Yay!
