Daylight Fucking Savings & Sleep

as if i don’t have enough trouble with sleeping, this snuck up on me! time changes have always messed up my sleep.

the Provigil has helped me stay awake all day, so no more naps. however, it keeps me up all night! that’s just on half the dose, too. so i still have to take trazodone in order to sleep. right now, i just need to figure out the proper amount of trazodone to take. if i take 150mg i end up sleeping 9 hours or more; if i take 75mg, i sleep 6 hours or less. or maybe i should ask the doctor if i can cut down on the Provigil dose. what a pain. it makes me cranky. can you tell? :P

Yuck I wouldn’t want to take that medicine. I need my sleep!!!!

I hope you find the right combo that works for you. I know that can be tough to do though.

I have been saying all over that I HATE daylight savings time. I just don’t see the need for it and people with sleeping problems sure don’t need the hour loss. I think I slept 4 hours last night, or I should say this morning, and it is now 2 a.m. and I am probably an hour away from sleeping yet. I was suppose to be up in the morning to go pay bills with my husband. I don’t wanna, though, I will more than likely wake up anyway. Sorry for writing a book. It is late, lol. God bless.

I do not understand this DST too… why can’t we have summer time all year round?

I am so glad you wrote! I was starting to worry! I can’t even imagine what this Daylight Savings is doing to you cause I am not sleeping and it’s making me crazy! I hope your doc can find a good combo for you! :D

Why do they call it Daylight Savings when you lose a whole fucking hour and when you get it back in October, they don’t even pay you interest?

Hey, Trazadone is what I take too. Maybe we should form a club…

I have been having trouble sleeping lately. I am so dense I never connected it with DST. Duh, now I know LOL. I am miserable when I don’t get enough rest also. I hope you get a good night sleep soon and get your meds figured out.

Abilify did the same thing with me, either made me extremely irritable or I couldn’t sleep. Daylight savings has screwed up my sleeping as well. I wish they’d leave it one way or the other. I hope your sleep pattern gets somewhat regular.

I really HATE day light savings time because I need all the sleep that I can get. Hey, are you still going to the gym? I just realized from reading some of your posts that we go to the same gym. I could use someone to go to the gym with (ya know someone who’d make me feel guilty if I weren’t there). ;)

  12. Oh let’s see, it is April something or other and I still have not acclimated. Ug. Why oh why…I feel for you.

Have you tried the new Ambien SR (or CR)? It rocks. I am pretty much accepting I cannot sleep without a little help from the pharmaceutical industry. I feel your pain, sweetie. Feel better soon.
