Christmas, Part 2: The LEGOs
although we agreed not to exchange gifts (because we get each other stuff all the time and because we have each other–go ahead, roll your eyes), Brian cheated and got me 3 Star Wars LEGO sets: 2 that i didn’t have and one that i already had, but not really one that i’d want a duplicate set of. of course, i’m not complaining.
i was really excited about that. then, when i went on LEGO.com i found that they’ve re-released some of the “classic” sets, such as the A-wing, B-wing, and dan, if you’re reading this–the Slave I, which now includes a Dengar minifig–how cool is that?
the original A-wing set is $30 used/$33 minimum new; the B-wing is about $50 used/$80 minimum new. the re-released sets are $16 and $35 respectively and are nicer in terms of brick color and design. the only one more expensive is the new Slave I; the original has 162 pieces, whereas the new one has 537.
one day, the Barb Natividad Museum of LEGO Star Wars Vehicles will be complete!

Ok, now I feel jipped. Like really. I love mini Boba but mini-Dengar would be the shiznit.

not to worry! go over to BrickLink where i’m sure they will be selling Dengar minifigs by themselves. i have Cloud City and i’ve wanted to recreate a scene from ESB, but i didn’t have Lando’s security guards. i was going to create some of my own, but one of them is also included in the set. now all i have to do is go to BrickLink to buy a whole bunch–oh, never mind.

Dang, you’re like a professional Star Wars fan! Do you just save the Legos or do you actually play with them? (I’m hoping the latter)

wow BARB. I am impressed with your star wars collection.
merry christmas.

I am glad you had a good Christmas!
You might think I am very weird… but I have never even seen any of the Star Wars movies. I just have always hated sci-fi. I think I might try to watch it one day though.

Holy smokes!! ((faint)), you have an awesome collection! I’m so proud to know someone that takes the time, and has the skill to do that.

dan, i just found out that Slave I set also comes with an IG-88 minifig, but no Zuckuss.
jane, if i could be paid to be a professional SW fan, i’d be in heaven a galaxy far, far away.
BatJay and Marie, Merry Christmas to you, too! And you aren’t weird for not having seen Star Wars. Believe it or not, I’m not a big sci-fi fan, either (of books, no–movies, yes), but I love it!
April, it doesn’t take skill–just the ability to follow instructions.
jane, i’ve been meating to post but have been lazy.
