Something’s Wrong

went to bed at 12:30 a.m., which is very, very early for me. i didn’t get up ’til 2:00 p.m. it isn’t even that i’m sleepy all the time, i’m realizing, it’s that my body feels so…worn…out. and i’m not even doing anything!

i have absolutely no appetite whatsoever, so when i do eat, it’s junk. but not eating can actually make people (more?) depressed because your body isn’t getting all of the nutrients it needs. already, i don’t have any energy.

it’s hard to describe; i feel like something’s sucking the life out of me. i’m tempted to attribute it to aliens, but that’s because i watched invasion last night. heehee. that, and i can’t find any other explanation.

the pdoc said it could be a virus, but i always associate viruses with flu- and cold-like symptoms, which i don’t have. my therapist mentioned anemia, which i’ve had in the past, so that could be it. i see the chiro tomorrow, and he’ll probably say it’s because i haven’t been drinking my protein shakes. well, is it my fault that the blender died? blame the landlord! heh.

*sigh* all right. time to make a doctor’s appointment.

  1. Oh man! I cannot believe that had happened to you with the blender…sheesh! You know, you should get the magic bullet, it’s awesome. Let’s see, what else was I going to discuss with you, ahhh yesss… the “sucking out of life” thing. It is only natural that unless you boost up your metabolism that it will slow, and you will not only gain weight but feel lethargic… I feel the same way when I don’t move around, in fact, I end up retaining water weight on my ankles, can you BELIEVE that shit?! It looks horrible! I’m not too active, although I wish I was. Best advice I can give to you? Go walking with Brian around the block or at a park. It’s cheap entertainment, and you guys can relax too. No heavy working out or anything. Shoot, I NEED to take my own ADVICE, lol!

  2. I know how you feel. That happens to me every once in a while. It is happening now and maybe it is because it is getting dark earlier? I don’t really know but I haven’t had real energy in years.

  3. Something similar recently happened to me. Tired, dizzy, anemic, awful, awful feeling. Thought I was dying. Had two rounds of bloodwork and xrays — all came back normal. After a few weeks, everything was normal again. I can only attribute it to stress. But it *did* go away. Feel better!

  4. Yeah, this is just a bad time for us in the upper Midwest. Temps just dropped like a rock in the past couple days, and the wet didn’t help. Season changes are tough on the body.

    Take care of yourself!

  5. That blender story reminds me of the old apartment in Lincoln Park. You couldn’t run the microwave and the coffee maker at the same times (the lights would dim and inevitably the fuse would blow).

Hope that your lack of energy has to do with a virus or something that only requires some sleep, a comfy blanket, and a funny rental movie.

  6. I agree with April; I’ll bet getting your blood moving will help. I, too, need to follow that advice… *sigh*
But yes, make an appointment with your doctor and see what s/he thinks!
