now that there’s snow out there, pay attention to where you park! many streets, usually major ones like Montrose Avenue, have signs that say you aren’t allowed to park there if there’s more than 2 inches of snow.
so if you usually park at a meter spot overnight, make sure you double check for these signs. be vigilant!
how much would it suck in the morning if it snowed over 2 inches the night before, you’re on your way to work, and you find that your car’s been towed? fortunately, i don’t know. and i don’t want to find out.
if this doesn’t say Chicago Christmas, i don’t know what does…
Merry Christmas!

Chicago winters will dry your skin, even if it’s normally oily (believe me, i know), and especially if you have radiator heat. a humidifier will certainly help, so it’s good to have one on hand.
however, for skin that’s really raw, for example Rudolph nose (a result of blowing your nose every few minutes for at least 2 days), the best product i’ve come across is Clinique’s Dramatically Different Moisturizing Lotion. Clinique’s target is predominantly women, but men can benefit from this moisturizer as well. as you can see, the packaging is fairly gender neutral.
available at major department stores.
gah! i forgot to post the site of the week because 1) i’m sick–which you already know, and 2) i’ve been preoccupied with an early Christmas present. many of you know that i’m a huge Star Wars fan, and the newest Xbox game came out last week.
Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic II: The Sith Lords
so, um. that’s the site of the week. see what’s kept me so busy! and omg, this game ROCKS!!!!
